Spotify & YouTube Playlisting Campaigns
-
All Lucky Money Playlisting Campaigns (Spotify AND YouTube) have three (3) week long pitching periods. This means that, once your playlisting campaign begins, our curator network has a full 3 week timeline to let us know if they will be adding your song or not. Sometimes we receive responses back from our curator network before the 3 week timeline, but some take the full 3 weeks to respond. Once your first confirmed playlist add(s) come in, you will receive an email thread from the Lucky Money team with the playlist URLs that your song/video is live on. You will continue to receive playlist placements in real time as they roll in from our curator network. After your pitching period is complete and all curators have responded to our pitch, you will receive your Playlisting Campaign Report (Spotify campaigns only), detailing exactly which playlists your song was added to after the duration of your specific Playlisting Campaign.
-
Click here to review Lucky Money’s Terms and Conditions to read about how Lucky Money maintains authenticity in playlist pitching. See below for more information:
Lucky Money does not allocate bot streams to any songs - if we did that, then we would be guaranteeing streams to our artists as a part of selling our playlisting campaigns to artists. We don't guarantee streams because we simply cannot live up to any number guarantees, since streams from our playlist network all flow in organically. We have an intentional vetting process for the playlist curators in our network, so we do everything that anyone can do in order to avoid bot streams. The issue of bot streams on Spotify, including the issue of Spotify removing select tracks due to bot streams, is unfortunate because tracks can be added to bot playlists outside of the artist's (or the artist team's) control and bots are able to stream your song (via any playlist or directly from your profile) the second your song goes live on the platform. Spotify can even consider playing a song on repeat as "artificial streaming".
If you feel as though your track has received bot/artificial streams on Spotify, the best action steps to take are to:
1. Be sure you have your song(s) ISRC, UPC, and all other metadata on file. In the case of any music being wrongfully removed, re-uploading using all the same metadata will usually do the trick.
2. Contact your distributor’s customer service email and open a chat within your Spotify for Artist portal to let both your distributor and Spotify know that the artist and the artist’s team have not employed any bot streams or artificial activity on the track and any activity of that sort on the track is not at the fault of the artist or artist team.
-
All Lucky Money Playlisting Campaign pitching periods are three (3) weeks long.
-
This differs with every campaign. Utilizing the hundreds of vetted curators in our network, our Lucky Money team decides which/how many playlist curators to pitch to based on your song’s genre, mood, goals, and budget. That being said, most of the curators in our network curate more than just one playlist. So, for example, if we pitch your track to 5 of our curators, your song may actually be getting pitched to 20 playlists.
-
If you don’t like a playlist your song was added to via a Lucky Money campaign for any reason, just let us know and we will request that the playlist curator remove your song. Keep in mind that, unless it is a Lucky Money Entertainment-owned playlist, we cannot personally remove your song from the playlist. We can only request that the curator who added the song remove it.
-
If you are unsure which song to choose for your playlisting campaign, you can set up an A&R consultation with our partners at Dark Beach Records. They provide in-depth song feedback and suggestions on which songs to release/focus on. Get in touch with your Lucky Money Artist Consultant to learn more on how you can receive professional song feedback from Dark Beach Records. If you don’t have an Artist Consultant, you can click here to fill out our Artist Interest Form.

TikTok Sound Campaigns
-
Our regular TikTok campaign pitching period is an eight (8) week long pitching period - A.K.A 2 months. This means it can take a full 2 months from the time your campaign pitching period officially starts to the time the video placements start going live on the TikTok platform. This is due to the fact that our TikTok content creators not only have to review your TikTok sound to see if they’d like to use it or not, but they also have to film the custom video with your sound and schedule it into their (usually very busy) posting schedule.
-
A regular TikTok campaign pitching period is 8 weeks long, meaning 2 months long. You can add on the TikTok accelerator to your TikTok campaign to shorten the pitching period to 4 weeks!
-
Yes, you can add on our TikTok campaign accelerator to cut the pitching period in half, so you don’t have to wait as long for your video placements to go live on the TikTok platform.
Assets
-
Non-members receive up to three (3) rounds of editing on a purchased asset (EPK, one sheet, stage plot/input list, etc) from Lucky Money after receiving their first draft of the asset. Active Lucky Money Members receive unlimited Lucky Money asset edits at any time (picture replacements, link replacements, bio updates, etc). Click here to become an active Lucky Money Member now (if you aren’t one already)!
Intake Forms
-
There are multiple reasons why your campaign intake form(s) are required in order to begin your purchased Lucky Money service. See a list of the main reasons below:
It is the only way for you to deliver all necessary information & assets for your purchased service(s) to the proper team members at Lucky Money. For example, simply sending us an email with your cover art & audio likely won’t cover everything we need (the forms are clear guides detailing exactly what we need from you to complete each service, beyond just the basic cover art & audio). Also, sending an email (or texting) your song’s info & assets to your Lucky Money point of contact does not ensure delivery to the proper team members for your specific service. Lucky Money has over ten (10) team members, and each team member is working in a different department. Submitting the form(s) ensures your info & assets are reaching the proper team members.
Submitting your required form(s) is what alerts the proper team members that you have a service reserved with us, and allows them to begin working on it for you. Paying your invoice reserves your service on the accounting side, submitting your service intake form reserves your service on the creative side.
Since Lucky Money is a non-exclusive Label Services company and we don’t generally “sign” artists to Lucky Money, our service intake forms are the only way our artists can properly accept & agree to our Terms & Conditions, which is a legal requirement for each service we work on for each of our artists.
-
Yes, because each service intake form is reaching a different department at Lucky Money. You want to ensure that everyone working on your music has the proper info & assets they need.
Distribution
-
Lucky Money Entertainment offers a couple different distribution options. See below:
You can hire Lucky Money to handle your distribution process via your distributor (TuneCore, DistroKid, CDBaby, etc). Reach out to your Lucky Money Artist Consultant for more information on how to move forward with that service for your specific needs. If you don’t have an Artist Consultant, you can click here to fill out our Artist Interest Form.
Lucky Money has our own company distribution portal in partnership with The Orchard, a division of Sony Music. This distribution option is invite-only and requires signing an exclusive distribution contract with Lucky Money. If you’re interested in learning more, you can let your Artist Consultant know. Or you can click here to fill out our Artist Interest Form and mention that you’re interested in Lucky Money’s distribution with The Orchard.
-
If you’re using Lucky Money for distribution, then it is always best to get your distribution service fully reserved, with your service intake form submitted, 4-6 weeks before your target release date. Keep in mind it typically takes the Lucky Money team one (1) week to process your submitted info & assets before we are able to hit upload with your music distributor.
Social Media
-
There are a couple different ways to get your release posted to Lucky Money’s socials on New Music Friday:
Active Lucky Money Members just need to let their Membership Coordinator know about their upcoming release and, from there, your Membership Coordinator will ensure it gets posted on NMF. Click here to become an active Lucky Money Member now (if you aren’t one already)!
If you have a reserved service with us ahead of your release day, regardless of if you’re a member or not, then our team will have your release included in the Lucky Money release schedule to ensure it gets posted on NMF.
-
Our Social Media Consultation includes one hour (either on Google Meet or in-person) with our Social Media Specialist, who will come into the meeting fully prepared, having already assessed your social media platforms before the meeting. If you provide the Social Media Specialist with your login information, then they will even log into your socials and be able to assess your analytics ahead of time, too. They will come to the meeting equipped with social media strategy suggestions customized to you and they will be able to answer any questions you may have during the consultation, to the best of their ability. A Social Media Consultation does NOT include ongoing social media support after the consultation. Moving forward with this service just includes the consultation meeting itself.
-
Yes! We offer three (3) different Social Media Management tiers, but are able to provide more custom Social Media Management options, as well. Reach out to your Artist Consultant, or click here to submit our Artist Interest Form, to learn more.
Press Campaigns
-
Even though most articles secured by the Lucky Money press campaigns are not written by the Lucky Money team, we are still able to request that our press partners make changes to the articles they write. If you receive a press placement from the Lucky Money team as a part of your Lucky Money press campaign that you would like edited, just reply back to the email with the respective press placement and let us know your edit requests. From there, our team will reach out to the press partner asking them to complete the edit requests.
-
When you move forward with a Lucky Money press release, you will receive a shareable URL of the final, approved press release. You can share and/or post the URL anywhere you’d like to.
-
Once the press release is serviced to your respective press list, the Lucky Money team has a three (3) week long pitching period to secure press placements with our partners.
Payment
-
Lucky Money does not provide refunds.
*If you purchased a service with us ahead of time and your song ends up not coming out for any reason, budget re-allocations or refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
-
If your song is already released, then you do still have to wait for the full payment processing period to complete, and ensure that all necessary service intake forms have been submitted, before your service begins. If your service has a pitching period, then your pitching period would begin when your service begins (after the payment processing time & the intake form(s) are complete). If you are scheduling your service(s) with us ahead of time (which is always preferred), then your service(s) will be reserved upon your payment processing & your intake form(s) being submitted.
-
Please note that when you submit payment to us, it will take 2-3 business days for the payment to reach our account, due to payment processing time. It is normal for you to see the amount withdrawn from your account upon payment, but it will not reach our account for 2-3 business days after that. Your services will begin (or be reserved) once your payment is fully processed.
-
We allow split payments (50/50) for active Lucky Money Members on a case-by-case basis. If you are an active Lucky Money Member with us and would like to discuss a payment plan for your upcoming release strategy, reach out to your Artist Consultant for more information.
*Note that the split payment plan option for active Lucky Money Members is for the cost of additional a la carte services, not for the membership payment itself.
Writer Management
-
Yes! Click here to learn more about Lucky Money’s Writer Management Program.
-
If you are interested in Lucky Money’s Writer Management program in partnership with 3 Ring Circus Music, you can click here to submit an application. The program has limited seats and is invite-only, but we encourage you to submit an application to be considered.
-
Lucky Money’s Writer Management program has very limited seats and applications are generally reviewed more in-depth when a seat becomes available. The program is also invite-only, so submitting an application does not guarantee a response from the Writer Management team. If you are interested in song feedback from our A&R/Publishing team, reach out to your Artist Consultant to learn more about scheduling a song feedback session. Or click here to submit our Artist Interest Form to learn more.
-
If you are already in Lucky Money’s Writer Management program and need to cancel, be sure to communicate with your Writer Manager to let them know you need to cancel. The Writer Management program is no-commitment, so you’re able to cancel if you need to. Once you’ve let your Writer Manager know, you can then click here to access your client portal with us to cancel or update your Writer Management subscription.*Note that the split payment plan option for active Lucky Money Members is for the cost of additional a la carte services, not for the membership payment itself.
-
If you cancel your Writer Management subscription with us (even with the intention of rejoining after a month or two, or any temporary period of time), you do forfeit your seat at the program along with a host of other things. That's not to say you couldn't rejoin when you're hypothetically ready! It just means there is a chance your seat would be filled by someone else in that time period, causing us to not be able to re-onboard you in a timely manner. There are multiple reasons for this, see below:
1. We have an active waitlist for the program of writers eager to join, so if we have a spot open up (meaning a writer cancels their subscription with us), we then bring the opportunity to the next person in line. We can't hold an unpaid spot simply based on intention/good faith for anyone, unfortunately.
2. You can see in your Writer Management program perks, it comes with a Jeffrey Steele Academy Membership, a professional song cataloging platform through Lucky Money's business account, a Lucky Money Membership, etc. All of these things do cost us as a company by the month. So, if you decide to stop paying us at any given time, we then have to cancel all of those things (so you would lose your entire song catalog data/profile, for example, upon canceling the writer management subscription, since we'd no longer be able to pay the fee for your account on your behalf if you're no longer paying for your seat in the program).
